Alien Space Jockey Model

Alien Space Jockey Model

Are you a super-fan of the movie, Alien? Do you live in the UK? Do you have room in your home for the massive Alien Space Jockey Model? If you don’t have the room, are you willing to live in your yard to make room for this bit of handmade sci-fi awesomeness?

Talk about a labor of love. Artist Dave Tootill has created this 55-inch long by 36-inch tall model of the infamous Space Jockey from Ridley Scott’s classic horror film.

The model, made from a wide variety of materials that include styrofoam, metal rods, tubing, curtain rings, and lots of Das (modeling) clay; took about 900 hours over a 2-year period to create… and now Tootill wants you to be able to enjoy his hard work.

Naturally, due to the amount of time that was involved in creating this masterpiece, there’s only one available, and the price tag is a little on the steep side… but how can one really assign a price when passion meets art? Also, the model is only available for people that live in the United Kingdom because shipping this thing overseas would probably not be a fun experience.

If you’re interested, you can get the Alien Space Jockey Model for $8,928.88 / £5,235.00 at Dave Tootill’s Etsy store.
