Cool – Now there’s no need to go outside.
Seriously though, I’ll bet this really works. I’ve heard of similar devices being used to treat seasonal affective disorder (winter depression) and to help prevent jet lag.
Some people get depressed in the winter because they don’t get enough sunlight since they don’t go outside much with the cold weather. The short days and frequently overcast skies during winter also contribute to getting very little sunlight. Artificial sunlight products like this lamp help.
They probably also help if you lack sunlight from spending all day in front of the computer or on the Xbox!
