Mini Kin Green Power Generator

The “Mini Kin Green Power Generator” is a small wind-powered rechargeable battery pack that allows you to get some extra juice for your iPod, PDA, digital camera etc.

It straps onto your arm, bicycle, boat, dog – if there’s room you can pretty much strap it to anything. The wind turns the propeller, which in turn powers the turbine and creates enough energy to power up your rechargeable gizmos.

All you need to do is plug the battery unit into your iPod, mobile phone or PDA and you’ll soon have enough of a charge to see you through the next phone call or playlist. Perfect for the little green person inside all of us and it’s incredibly satisfying to say that your mobile is wind powered!

Mini Kin Green Power Generator

Features:

  • Clip it on and let the wind do the rest.
  • When your phone needs that extra bit of juice just 60 mins attached to this charger can provide you with up to 150 mins of call time.
  • This adds practically nothing to your carbon footprint, unless you charge the battery pack using the USB connection.
  • Size: 12 x 8 x 3cm.

Compatible with:

  • MP3 Players (including iPods).
  • PDA’s
  • Blackberrys
  • Most models of digital camera.
  • Mobile phones: Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG, Motorola, iPhone.
  • Anything with a mini USB input.

You can get the Mini Kin Green Power Generator for for £29.99 (about $47 USD) over at the I Want One of Those website.

This is an exellent product. Now couldn’t this be made into a larger application to be intalled on electric cars to recharge their batteries for extented mileage. This could change the world!!!!

That would be awesome Allen, but I’m afraid that the size that would be needed to generate power to the car would make it impossible to work.

    Ok
So – how does the mass manufacture of a device that produces very little energy and yet requires vast amounts to manufature and source its materials equate to a “green” device to be proud of?
